Just a quick wrap-up:  [[RanTom Thoughts/20070704 Red Letter Day|I'm one of the winners]] of an R&D 100 award this year.  There has been a ton of [[R&D 100 Press Releases|press about it]].  (The PR department timed our main Argonne press release to coincide with 9/11 since our research was in the anti-terror field.)  Sami has been interviewed on the [http://tometheus.com/science/R&D100/20070911_0535_SamiGopalamsi.WMA radio], we have been in the [http://www.dailyherald.com/story/?id=35361 newspaper] ([http://www.dailyherald.com/story/?id=36064&src= twice]), and we were the [http://www.anl.gov/Media_Center/News/2007/NE070831.html featured article] on the Argonne homepage for two weeks.  We have shown up in news from [http://news.cpst.net.cn/2007_09/188911521.html China] to [http://www.iran-daily.com/1386/2919/pdf/i2.pdf Iran], from [http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/070807/aqtu240.html?.v=4 Yahoo! It's been an exciting ride! :)

Jana has bought her tickets to come over, and our awards banquet tickets are confirmed.  Yesterday I finally picked up my tuxedo, so everything is ready to go!  (Except for transportation.)  (I even got my Argonne business cards today!)

(We're under [http://www.rdmag.com/pdf/rd100/RD79_RD100_enviro.pdf Environmental] -- right across the page from Lego Mindstorms NXT -- how cool is that?)

15 days and counting down until the dinner at the [http://www.navypier.com/events/event_space/venues.html Grand Ballroom] at [http://www.navypier.com/ Navy Pier]  (That's the big green-roofed section at the end of the pier [http://www.navypier.com/np_floor/np_level_1.html].).  Now it's time to get really nervous!
